Please find attached information circulated to all schools by the Education Authority in collaboration with the National Crime Agency, the Police Service of NI and the Safeguarding Board of NI.

There has been an increase in reporting of children and young people being forced into paying money or meeting another financial demand after an adult offender has threatened to release nude or semi-nude pictures of them. This can be referred to as 'Sextortion' and is a form of sexual abuse.
