EGGS-periment!

13th Nov 2017

As a class we have been looking at the topic of 'Teeth'. Today we carried out an experiment to find out the effects sugary drinks have on the enamel of our teeth. We covered six eggs with six different drinks - Lucozade, Milk, Diet Coke, Coke, Pure Orange Juice and Water and left them overnight!

We began by looking at how many grams of sugar were in each drink and what percentage of our daily sugar intake they had. We couldn't believe how much sugar was in some of these drinks!! In pairs, we then discussed what we thought would happen to the eggs overnight - we had some great ideas and can't wait to see what our eggs will look like tomorrow afternoon!
