This classroom will be placed outside the Primary 4 end of the building.

⚽️ Ballymena School’s Football Tournament ’23 ⚽️

Today our boy’s football team took to the pitch at the Ballymena Showgrounds to take part in the Ballymena School’s Football Tournament.

In our group we faced Portglenone, Fourtowns, Buick, Carnaghts, Carniny, St. Brigid’s and Ballymena. In a tightly contested group we won 2, drew 3 and lost 2 games, with our 2 wins coming against Carnaghts (2-0; goals from Jake and Josh) and Ballymena (2-0; goals from Riley and Josh). Unfortunately finishing on 9 points wasn’t enough for the boys to finish in the top 2 of the group and qualify for the semi-final.

Throughout the day, the team played fantastic football and were commended by numerous parents and teachers for their play. On another day, the team very easily could have went undefeated and won the majority of their games but it just wasn’t to be today. 

We are already looking forward to our next set of games and hopefully this team can go from strength to strength.
