World Children’s Day in P7AS
25th Nov 2020
As it was World Children’s Day on 20th November, we had a look at the rights children should have but often do not have. We had a really useful discussion about how children in different countries experience life when their rights are ignored.
We were reminded that we have a right to rest, to play, to receive medical care; the right to an education and the right to be safe. We are fortunate that our government upholds these rights in our country.
We participated in a group sorting activity which prompted interesting discussions about whether some of our rights relate to our health, safety or happiness.
