World Book Day in P5RM 📚

7th Mar 2024

We had great fun celebrating World Book Day today in P5. We all arrived in our pyjamas as our theme was bedtime stories.

First, we enjoyed going to read some stories to P2LA and after that we came back to our classroom and talked at the front of class about our different books and why we like them.

After that we took part in an election to vote for our favourite author, as part of the Mid and East Antrim Council initiative. Then we got to design and create our own book cover and blurb.

We linked this to Articles 17, 19 and 31 which tell us that reading is a right for every child.

We had such good fun reading and learning on World Book Day and we can’t wait to visit the book fair on Monday!
