Primary 5WS get crafty for World Book Day

4th Mar 2022

As part of our World Book Day celebrations in Primary 5 we all decided to turn a potato into our favourite book character. This required lots of planning, which we completed yesterday on World Book Day. We had to decide how to best use our potato, as a whole body or just a head, and which items we would need to decorate it. We also had to decide whether or not to paint our potato. There was lots of decision making going on.

This afternoon we all had the opportunity to bring our designs to life by creating our little potato book characters. Miss Service took a photograph of everyone with their finished projects which you can look at below. I think you’ll all agree that we did a fantastic job! We had lots of fun making our characters and are very proud of all our careful planning and hard work! Why not see how many of them you can identify?
