Practical learning in Primary 3WS
19th Apr 2021
This morning in class we were learning all about the story of 13. We were practically investigating all the different pairs of numbers that add together to give a total of 13. We worked in pairs to identify the different number bonds using an oven worksheet and some multi-link cubes.
Miss Service explained that we were using the oven worksheet because the number 13 is often called ‘a baker’s dozen’ as bakers used to always put an extra bum or loaf in the oven to make sure that they always had 12 good ones to sell.
