P7PT’s Ulster American Folk Park Visit
16th Oct 2019
On Tuesday, P7 children visited The Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh as part of studies on Famine and Emigration this term. The trip transported us back through time to experience life in the 1800’s. On our educational journey we experienced rural life in Ireland across different social classes by: talking to the locals, watching them work and tasting the cuisine. We then voyaged on a ‘Coffin Ship’ across the Atlantic to the ‘New World’. Upon arriving, we were shocked by this strange culture, people and the opportunities it brought.
Have a look at at our photos of the day!
