P7AS on World Mental Health Day
Today we have been talking about World Mental Health Day. We practised some square breathing exercises before break today which helped to make us feel calm. We had Mavis and Sarah visiting us from Jigsaw. They talked to us about how our feelings can be up and down on different days and the things we can do to help us get through the low feelings. Mavis and Sarah showed us how to practise finger breathing.
In the afternoon we had a lovely walk in the sunshine where we had to ‘take notice’ of some things in our environment which we walk past every day. Taking notice forms one of our ways of helping keep our minds healthy which we talk about and practise in school as part of the Take 5 programme. What have you taken notice of today?
