P7AM Safer Internet Day

7th Feb 2024

On Tuesday we had some discussions about how we can stay safe online as part of Safer Internet Day. We spent quite a bit of time discussing our digital footprint and how we each use the internet. Lots of us like to play games and chat to our friends online. We chatted about how we should only ever add those who we know in real life to anything that we are doing online.

We also discussed the UNICEF Children’s Rights and how access to reliable information tends to come in an online form now. We chatted about reliable websites that we could use to find out our information.

Our conversations today linked to:
Article 17: Access to information from the media - every child has the right to reliable information from a variety of sources

Article 18: Protection from abuse, violence and neglect.
