P7 enjoy a fun-filled final meet up with Mary Queen of Peace

23rd Apr 2024

Our Primary 7 classes enjoyed an action packed day as our final meet up with our friends from Mary Queen of Peace today. We spent the day rotating around three different activities.

We learnt how to keep a rhythm and work with various music timings with James from 'Fun with Drums'. We all enjoyed creating some music together on the drums and were amazed at how quickly we were able to compose a piece of music by working together as a group.

Darren from 'Healthy Kidz' took us outside to enjoy the brilliant weather to play some team games, this got very competitive when we had to go up against each other in a one v one game!

We also had a very informative talk from the PSNI which got us thinking about moving to our new schools, navigating the bus station, social media and peer pressure. We all thoroughly enjoyed getting to sit in the police car, especially when they turned on the sirens!

A huge thank you to 'Triangle Housing' for their generous donation allowing us to host the day and for providing us all with a snack at breaktime from the canteen.

The day helped us to think of our 'Take 5' in school. Today we 'connected' with our friends in the other P7 class as well as our friends that we have made during our Shared Education Partnership with the boys and girls from Mary Queen of Peace.
