P4 Numeracy Day 2024 🎲💷🧮

16th Oct 2024

Primary 4 had a great day today for Numeracy Day 2024.

We came to school dressed up as people who use Maths in their jobs or in clothing with numbers on.

We did lots of Numeracy related activities today.

We started the day with some Mental Maths and later on completed a practical Numeracy circuit of activities working with numbers, time and money.

We had a visit from Tracy who is the manager of the Slemish and Braid Credit Union.
She talked to us about how she uses numbers and data in her job and then had a money activity for us to think about - would we spend all our money or save some?
We also found out about savings, loans and what a budget is.
Tracy gave us a Credit Union pencil and rubber each to take home.

We all really enjoyed our day. Have a look at how we got on.
