Wow! What a super day we had today celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee! We read a book about the Queen, watched a short animation and made our crowns! Then we had great fun hunting for the coins on our treasure hunt around the Playpark and the playground. While we were outside we took a walk around the garden boxes to see what each year group had made. We also designed an invitation and menu for the Queen’s party and coloured a picture of the Queen, while some people finger painted a flag. Our picnic lunch outside was fantastic and we all loved getting an ice cream before going to see the Mayor plant a tree. We finished the day off with some cake and Golden Time!
