Numeracy Day in P6 ➕➖🟰✖️➗
16th Oct 2024
Today for Numeracy Day, P6 dressed up, had a visit from Anna Henry and took part in some practical mental maths activities.
As you can see from the photos we had some very inventive outfits today, there were teachers, a pilot, shop workers, footballers and some pupils made their own handmade T-shirts too.
We had a visit from Anna Henry who is a local councillor, a supervisor in a shop and a university student. She told us all about how she uses maths everyday and why it is so important, it helps her budget, organise, learn and solve a variety of tasks.
Throughout the day we also completed some mental maths activities including IZAK, dice games, hit the button and multiples games.
