Lunchtime Maths!!
23rd Jan 2019
Today P6JH made the most of being inside at lunchtime. Lots of them decided to make a ‘Multilink snake’. They certainly used a lot of cubes! Lots of discussion followed and they were calculating what length the snake was, how many doors it would be equivalent to if it was vertical and one boy even worked out approximately what fraction of a kilometre it would be!! They measured one cube and then tried to estimate from the length, how many cubes they might have used. As one boy said, “I’m glad we were inside today.” Well done to everyone for some ‘super thinking and problem solving’ while having fun!! Have a look at our photos.
