Literacy in Camphill

27th Jun 2018

As you may recall, a showcase of some Numeracy displays from throughout the school was uploaded earlier in the year. So, as the school year draws to a close, we thought you might like to see some examples of Literacy. You will notice that we develop literacy skills through all areas of the curriculum (e.g. explaining a maths problem or researching a WAU topic) and that work on post-its, whiteboards and posters may focus on a specific learning point, whilst reports and stories can develop several. A variety of approaches are adopted and every time a child comes to write, they should be applying their previously learned skills, no matter the setting or context.

Only a small sample (mostly from the current term) of our literacy work has been included and we have left you to do some detective work to figure out what Year Group each photo is from - well you need something to occupy you over the summer!

We hope you enjoy flicking through the images below and discussing with your child which pieces of work they remember their class completing. Enjoy the holidays and remember to stay safe in the sun and near water.
