Habitat for Humanity 🏠🏕

28th Apr 2022

We had an interesting and informative visit today from Pete, who works for the charity Habitat for Humanity. Mrs. McLarnon organised a link through someone she knows as she realised there are many links with our Rights, Respecting School work. There is also a connection with our School Council and ECO work.

Pete took an assembly for P1-4 and P5-7.  Then he held two workshops for members of our ECO/SC/RRS groups.

Workshop one focused on Article 27 which explores the 'Rght to a Home'.

Workshop two explored the work of Habitat for Humanity and how items can be recycled/ up-cycled. We made coasters from old tiles.

Thank you Pete for a brilliant morning!
