Financial Capability Danske Bank visit P5

16th Mar 2022

Today we welcomed Jayne from Danske Bank into our school.

We learned all about how banks look after our money and other services the bank offer!

We talked about budgets and debt, spending and over spending. We thought about decorating a bedroom with a budget of £500. We used lists of items with allocated prices and we had to try to stick to our budget. It was quite difficult to find all of the items we needed within our budget.

We also thought about needs and wants and how it is important to think carefully about what we really need and plan ahead.

We had great fun working with each other and thinking about how we could save a little money each month.

A huge thank you to Jayne for spending time with us today. We really enjoyed our lesson!
