CONSULTATION ON UPDATE TO NUTRITIONAL STANDARDS FOR SCHOOL FOOD

The Department of Education has launched a public consultation on proposed updates to Nutritional Standards for School Food. The consultation period will run from 30 January 2020 until 27 March 2020 inclusive. The consultation document and on-line response form can be accessed on the Department of Education website at:

As the school environment can have a significant influence on the health behaviours of children and young people and in particular their food choices, it is important that all food provided in school is in keeping with up-to-date government advice on healthy eating.
