Amelie and Lucy’s Swimming Success

15th Jun 2019

On Saturday 15th June, Amelie and Lucy went to the Ulster Schools Championship Swimming Gala.  Lucy achieved two new PBs and made the finals in both the 25m butterfly and 25m breaststroke.  Altogether, Lucy achieved two fourths and was really happy.

Amelie competed in the 50m butterfly and 50m breaststroke.  She qualified in both her events even though it was challenging with the races being back to back.  She came 3rd in the 50m butterfly winning a bronze medal; she came 1st in the 50m breaststroke winning a gold medal and becoming the Ulster Schools Champion.  Amelie was really excited and proud to achieve this award for herself and our school.  Well done Amelie and Lucy, what great achievements!
