A visit from the firefighters
16th Nov 2017
There was great excitement in Primary 3 today, 16th November, as the fire fighters came to visit. In class we met Gerry and Brendan and had a chance to ask lots of questions which helped us to better understand their work. Brendan showed us how a fire fighter puts on all the different parts of the uniform. Then we went outside to see the fire engine. We had a great time. We all took turns to use the hose to squirt water. It was hard to hold onto! Finally we all had a chance to climb inside the fire engine and take a look around. Brendan showed us all the different equipment on board and explained what it was used for. We even got to try on a real helmet!
